After two years pause, the NAMM Show is back. It is the annual event of the National Association of Music Merchants and the biggest music trade show in the world.
There were more than 3,500 brands showcasing their latest products, including many well-known piano brands like Kawai, Yamaha, Casio, etc.
During the three eventful days, the NAMM Show successfully concluded on June 5, 2022, at Anaheim Convention Center, California.

Digital Pianos at NAMM Show 2022
Several companies introduced their new digital piano and keyboard products during the NAMM Show.
Kawai ES120
Kawai presented three new digital piano models. One of them is the Kawai ES120. The latest addition to the portable series will be available in the United States market in August 2022. Consequently, The ES120 will replace the very popular ES110 model.

The new model is furnished with
- an improved keyboard action
- upgraded piano sounds using Kawai’s signature SK-EX and EX concert grand pianos
- an enhanced speaker system
- supplemented the Bluetooth MIDI with Bluetooth Audio integration.
Additionally, the new case design comes in three colors: black, white, and light gray.

Kawai CN201 and CN301
Kawai released another two new models at the NAMM Show, the CN201 and CN301 console-style home digital pianos.

Replacing the extremely popular CN29 and CN39 models, respectively, the new CN201 and CN302 feature some powerful upgrades, including enhanced keyboard action, an improved speaker system with Low Volume Balance, and upgraded Bluetooth MIDI and Audio. Three finishes available include premium rosewood, premium satin black, or premium satin white.

Dexibell VIVO S10 & S10L
Dexibell, an Italian digital musical instrument maker, launched at the NAMM show 2022 the all-new VIVO S10 and VIVO S10L professional digital stage pianos. Both models have a powerful onboard processor and memory that holds 178 ultra-high-definition sounds.

The S10 comes with an 88-note full keyboard with graded weighted hammer action, while the S10L (L for lightweight) has a 76-note keyboard. Besides the keyboard difference, the S10L offers all the features of the S10.
Modular Pianos
Two European companies, the Pocket Piano and the Piano de Voyage, demonstrated their modular pianos.
Pocket Piano is a digital keyboard designed and developed in Barcelona, Spain. At NAMM Show 2022, the company unveiled a brand new professional piano that comes complete with Synthetic Ivory Piano sounds onboard. It has eight modules with an 87-key overall span.

Piano de Voyage is a modular and packable piano keyboard with a compact hammer action full-size keyboard that offers velocity-sensitive keys. It has four modules, and the Pocket Piano has eight modules.

Both Pocket Piano and Piano de Voyage Model B allow you to connect only the octaves you need. Hence, it provides even more flexibility when using the modules. They are easy to assemble and take apart for packing.

The NAMM Show will return April 13–15, 2023, and another extraordinary opportunity awaits.
